Established in 1954 by La Rinascente based on an idea by Gio Ponti and Alberto Rosselli, the Compasso d'Oro is the oldest design award in the world and the most important in Italy. In seventy years of history, it has crowned objects and projects that have become icons of Made in Italy, symbols of innovation and design culture.
