The Mappa Mundi designer wall clock celebrates the allure of exploration by reinterpreting one of our planet's most iconic symbols in a contemporary key. The essential lines of the planisphere, combined with a refined play of perspectives, transform the dial into a furnishing element capable of catching the eye and giving character to any environment.
The protagonist of the project is a stylized world map, crossed by parallels and meridians skillfully distorted through an optical distortion effect. This particular workmanship generates a surprising sensation of three-dimensionality, creating movement and depth while maintaining a light and elegant structure. With every change of perspective, the clock seems to take on a new form, offering an ever-changing visual experience.
With a diameter of 70 cm, Mappa Mundi is designed to furnish living rooms, studies, offices, libraries, meeting rooms and contemporary environments with personality. Its design easily integrates into modern, industrial and minimalist contexts, becoming the focal point of the wall without weighing down the space.
The clock is available in two elegant finishes: black or mud. Two chromatic interpretations that allow it to adapt to different furnishing styles, always maintaining a sophisticated and contemporary aesthetic.
The hours are not marked by traditional numbers, but by refined fake acrylic crystal screws applied along the outer perimeter of the dial. An original detail that recalls the world of industrial design and adds brightness to the composition. In the black version, both the screws and the hands are embellished with a gold finish, creating an elegant contrast with the background. In the mud variant, however, these elements are offered in a refined chromed finish, for a more sober and contemporary result.
The iron structure guarantees solidity and durability, while the ultra-silent quartz movement ensures absolute precision without the annoying ticking, making Mappa Mundi perfect also for environments dedicated to relaxation or work.
