Details
A play on shapes and perceptions transforms the simplicity of the vase into a decorative piece with a unique character. The Obaso vase is an iron flower vase with a contemporary design, characterised by a slender structure and intricate detailing that visually alters its shape.
The structure measures 15.5 x 6 cm, with a height of 25 cm, and extends vertically via two metal sides, each 25 cm high. The surface of the sides is embellished with an cut-out pattern consisting of wavy lines arranged vertically. This distinctive craftsmanship creates a curious optical effect: when viewing the vase, the waves appear to visually expand and swell the metal’s surface, giving rise to a dynamic and ever-changing form.
It is precisely this distinctive visual effect that gave rise to the name Obaso, a play on words that evokes the idea of an object that seems to alter its own volume thanks to the perception of the perforated shapes.
At the top of the structure there is a hole designed to hold a glass ampoule, intended for cut flowers, small twigs or delicate arrangements. The contrast between the perforated metal structure and the transparency of the glass creates a light and refined ensemble, in which the flower takes centre stage.
Thanks to its vertical proportions, the Obaso Vase can be placed on shelves, console tables, sideboards, tables and hall furniture, where the distinctive perforated pattern catches the light and helps to create an interesting interplay of solid and void.
Available in mud, black and sand shades, it adapts easily to different settings and interior styles. It can be used on its own or combined with other accessories to create a coordinated decorative arrangement.
The Obaso vase combines the functionality of a small flower vase with the aesthetic sensibility typical of Arti & Mestieri design, transforming a simple iron structure into an object capable of surprising the viewer through an original interplay of perception.
