The new collection represents a significant turning point for our brand, characterised by a profound stylistic renewal and a decisive move towards contemporary aesthetics. This radical change was made possible thanks to the fundamental contribution of architect and designer Roberto Giacomucci. Originally from Ancona, Giacomucci has skilfully combined the management of spaces, techniques and materials, the result of knowledge acquired during his studies and his vast experience in the sector.
Giacomucci's vision for Arti&Mestieri
Roberto Giacomucci has collaborated with many prestigious Italian companies in the furniture and lighting sector, receiving major awards such as the Good Design Award in 2009 and 2011, and the iF Award in 2009. In 2013, he received an honourable mention at the Compasso d'Oro ADI XXIIIª edition with the Cora and Zoe projects by Emporium. His collaborations range from brands such as R.S.V.P, Invicta, Magppie, Guzzini, Livi't, Con&Con, Confalonieri and Emporium, testimony to his talent and versatility.
Giacomucci's input in the realisation of the new collection was crucial. With the aim of creating products that fit today's fashions, characterised by a minimal and modern design, the designer from Ancona eliminated everything superfluous, focusing on articles with clean and elegant lines. This change of pace marked a transition away from traditional decorations such as butterflies and squiggles, features that have been and will continue to be distinctive of the brand, towards simpler shapes with great visual impact offering a different alternative to our customers.
New products, new lines
The products in Giacomucci's new collection are, therefore, the result of these ideas. To better understand these aspects, just take some of his creations as a reference.
The Old Line
One of the most representative examples of this philosophy is the Old line, characterized by geometric and essential lines. This collection perfectly embodies minimalism and elegance, offering products that easily adapt to modern environments, thanks to their clean and functional shapes.
The Ficus Line
Remaining in the sphere of tableware, the Ficus line represents the perfect combination of nature and modernity. Natural references have always been present in Arti&Mestieri's products, and Giacomucci has been able to reinterpret them in a contemporary key, with clear and simple lines of great visual impact.
The Uty coat stand
The Uty coat stand is another example of how minimalist design can be both functional and evocative. With its lines that could be reminiscent of the branches of a tree, Uty combines simplicity and functionality in a harmonious way, fitting perfectly into modern environments.
The Fluid Line
A significant innovation is the Fluid line for the table. This collection, with its bright colours and contrast with the base, recreates the effect of a fluid spreading over the surface, offering a unique and dynamic design. This concept has also been reproposed in the Vernissage line for photo frames and mirrors, where the design seems to reproduce a flow of paint that invades the photo or falls from the mirror frame.
The Evolution of Coffee Tables
Even in the small tables section, Giacomucci's minimalist approach is evident. The Globe cabinet, for example, embodies this philosophy with a bare and simple design, enriched by the spheres that serve as functional but also aesthetic containers. The Packtop, on the other hand, represents an example of experimentation with new materials. It is made of MDF wood, a panel of very fine wood fibres bonded by innovative adhesives. This coffee table, combined with an iron base, creates a unique and contemporary effect.
The Collaboration with Giacomucci
The collaboration with Roberto Giacomucci was fundamental in the realisation of this new collection. His minimalist approach, attention to detail and ability to combine functionality and aesthetics have enabled the creation of a collection that meets modern needs, leading to a complete transformation of Arti&Mestieri's style. Thanks to his creative ideas, Giacomucci pushed the boundaries of design skills, resulting in a unique and contemporary collection. His expertise has enabled him to create products that not only respect modern aesthetics, but are also functional and sustainable. The result is a collection that is innovative, sustainable and perfectly in tune with contemporary trends.
